Clay for Teens!

Teens explore both handbuilding and the pottery wheel while creating functional and sculptural pieces they’ll be excited to use and bring home! Students build skills step-by-step in a small group setting with plenty of guidance and creative freedom.
What they create is totally up to them, Angie is there to guide them!
Weekly Schedule
- Week 1: Intro to handbuilding + pottery wheel basics
- Weeks 2–3: Build and refine projects (coil/slab work + wheel practice + trimming and finishing work in progress)
- Weeks 4–5: Glazing all finished pieces + detailing and surface design
- Week 6: Studio clean-up, and finished work pickup prep

- Up to 3 lbs of clay per making week

Summer Camp | Ages 12-17 | $400 per Camper| Mon-Fri 9am-4pm | 6 Campers Max. per Session
Looking for a creative summer camp that gets teens off screens and making something fun + they can use everyday?
Each day is split between wheel throwing and sculpting, giving students a balance of guided instruction and creative freedom. Whether they’re brand new to clay or already love art, this camp is designed to be productive, creative, and messy fun!
Daily Schedule
- Mon–Wed: Create up to 2-4 Pottery Wheel + Clay Handbuilding projects per day
- Thu: Trimming, carving, handles & finishing details
- Fri: Studio Clean-Up and Underglazing /decorating or Glaze Selection for Angie
Campers typically finish 8–10+ pieces by the end of the week.
Teens may leave camp for lunch time with parent permission - Angie and/or Machine Studios is not responsible for your child once they leave the premises.

- Wheel + sculpting every day
- All clay, tools, glazing & kiln firings
- Small group instruction (6 campers max)
Optional Add-On: Return glazing session after firing (+$25)

Private events are a guided, hands-on clay experience that’s easy, creatively messy, and fun for all skill levels.
Perfect for birthdays, team events, showers, or a creative night out, guests get to slow down, try something new, and make something meaningful in the studio!
Groups May Arrive 15-Minutes for Set-Up | BYOB + Light Snacks Welcomed | Ages 8+ (Please reach out if younger)
Pick-up is 3-4 weeks after event
1. Pick How Many Pieces
- 1 Piece | $40 per person
- 2 pieces | $60 per person
- 3 pieces | $80 per person
2. Pick How to Make Them
- Clay Sculpting | Free form with clay using slab, coil, and pinch methods *CLAY ADD-ONS ALLOWED*
- Pottery Wheel | Used to create symmetrical-ish bowls, vases. etc. *NO CLAY ADD-ONS*
- Try Both! (2 or 3 pieces choice ONLY)
Angie does not choose what to make - that is up to the group!
She welcomes guests to bring inspiration images + also has MANY books/examples to look at!
3. How to Finish them!
Choose x1 glaze color per piece + tell Angie what you'd like signed on the bottom
Angie offers over 100 color choices - there is something for everyone!
Want to glaze your own?
+$15/person to come back + glaze it!
HOW TO BOOK YOUR EVENT
$110 deposit due at time of booking
Available dates + times mainly Friday - Sunday

Angie will contact you about attendee total and pottery option your group chose!
Final payment is collected at the beginning of the event once all guests have arrived. Cash, card, Venmo, PayPal, and, Apple Pay are accepted. (No checks, please.)
Due to limited studio storage space, all pieces must be picked up within 4 weeks of pick-up notification. Guests are encouraged to bring packaging materials when collecting finished work.
