Cancellation & Refund Policy

Full refunds (100%) are available if canceled at least 14 days before your class or event. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the class are non-refundable, regardless of reason. Rescheduling within 14 days is allowed at no fee; same-day rescheduling incurs a $50 fee. You may transfer your spot to a friend or family member if you cannot attend.

If you experience a genuine emergency, please email Angie or Amy. They will do their best to find a reschedule time based on availability. Worst-case situations are handled case-by-case, but refunds are not guaranteed.

Studio Policies

Machine Studios is a shared creative space. Students must remain in their designated class areas and may not touch, move, or enter another artist’s workspace or materials. Violations may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

  • Angie manages all ceramics classes, including instruction, clay preparation, glazing, firing, packaging, and ceramic-related communication.

  • Amy manages all drawing and painting classes, including instruction, materials, and class guidance.

  • Each instructor operates independently to provide focused expertise and support for their medium.

The studio is designed for focused, hands-on learning, particularly in wheel-based and specialized classes. Each class directly supports the growth of a community-centered space rooted in care, craftsmanship, and creativity.

Ceramics Classes

All ceramics classes are managed by Angie. The studio currently has one pottery wheel, allowing for focused, hands-on instruction and plenty of individual guidance during wheel experiences.

All ceramic work is fired off-site and returned in about 2-4 weeks. Ceramics is an unpredictable process; pieces may crack, warp, or break. Refunds or replacements cannot be offered for kiln damage or glaze outcomes. Students choose their glaze colors unless otherwise noted; final results may vary after firing.

Finished work must be picked up and packed with your own materials (bubble wrap, paper, boxes) within 30 days of notification. Unclaimed work may be discarded due to limited storage.

Drawing & Painting Classes

Students take artwork home the same day, so no pickup is required.

Additional Protections

  3. Intellectual Property: Students retain rights to their own work; Machine Studios may photograph or reproduce work for promotional purposes.

By registering for a class or event at Machine Studios, you agree to all policies above. These guidelines ensure a safe, respectful, and sustainable studio experience for all.
